Glendale, Va. – 50 miles

Our first day on the road out of Williamsburg. We spent more time going through Civil War battlefields, and left the British and French battles with the colonist.

The wind was at our back for a lot of the time, and our average speed of 13 MPH which is fast for our loads.
We are staying at Willis Church and I’ve got a pew for a bed tonight. But the cooking is in a large kitchen and we will be dry – and it’s a good thing.

Bryan broke his chain. It rained at night and we moved our bikes into the church. Ben and Nelika from the Netherlands were here too
